Batavia Park District Offers Variety of Summer Camps
Summer is quickly approaching, and the Batavia Park District is providing parents with many options to keep kids active and entertained this summer. The Park District offers a variety of camps, including music, sports, dance, cheer and more to fit your child's interests. Our popular "Kamp Kaleidoscope" day camp will keep your child busy throughout the entire summer, and weekly options are available as well. Summertime Playtime Summertime Playtime is so much fun for your little one ages 3-5! Preschool instructors have developed a theme for each week that will be packed with exciting activities inside and outside! Children will experience art, music, science, match and more. A snack and drink will be provided. Summertime Playtime will be held at the Eastside Community Center from 9:00-11:00 a.m. starting the week of June 14. Each week will have a different theme so kids can sign up for one week or the whole summer! The cost per week is $50 for residents, $58 for nonresidents and $65 for nonresidents.
Kamp Kaleidoscope Kamp Kaleidoscope is summer time fun that your first through fifth graders won’t want to miss! Campers will have the chance to participate in games, crafts, field trips, swimming at Hall Quarry Beach and more. Register for individual week-long sessions or the entire summer! Camp will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Hoover-Wood School, 1640 Wagner Road, starting Monday, June 14. Flex hours are available from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for an additional fee.
Dance Camps Have an active, fun-filled summer while learning jazz and hip hop. Dancers will work on technique and learn routines in addition to playing dance-related games, making crafts and even doing some acting. There will be a performance on the last day of camp, and dancers will perform at Windmill City Festival on Saturday, July 10. Junior Camp for ages 6-8 will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and Senior Camp for ages 9-12 will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 15 through July 1. The cost is $69 for residents, $80 for Batavia nonresidents and $90 for nonresidents and includes a t-shirt.
Club Teen Don’t spend your summer sitting around the house doing nothing! Be a part of Club Teen and enjoy swimming, sports, games, trips and more! Camp will be held at the Teen Center White House, 27 N. Prairie St., Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Extended hours are available from 3:30-6:00 pm for an additional fee. The weekly cost is $140 for residents, $161 for Batavia nonresidents and $182 for nonresidents. Camp starts Monday, June 14. Sign up for one week or the whole summer!
Encore Summer Music Camp An affordable, fun summer music camp has arrived in Batavia! If your child is in band, orchestra or choir and will be starting grades 6, 7, 8 or 9 in the fall, your summer music camp opportunity is here. Camp will include large group rehearsals, sectionals, technique/theory class, fun activities, performance at the Batavia Riverwalk and an optional trip to Raging Waves Waterpark! Camp will be held Monday through Thursday, July 26-29 at Rotolo Middle School. The cost is $79 for Batavia residents and $91 for nonresidents. Times vary based on band, orchestra or choir selection. Registration deadline is June 25.
The above camps are offered through the Batavia Park District. Deadlines are generally one week prior to the start date. Wilson St. The park district reserves the right to cancel, postpone or combine classes, and change instructors. Nonresident fees are divided into two categories: A Batavia nonresident is a City of Batavia resident but not a resident within the Batavia Park District boundaries; a nonresident is a person residing outside of the City of Batavia and also outside the Batavia Park District boundaries.
