Parks: Park Cleaning

How often are the parks cleaned?

The Park Department does a trash pick up twice per week during the spring, summer and fall. During the winter the pick up goes to once per week. This same schedule is followed during the summer for cleaning the restroom facilities in the parks. During the winter the restrooms are closed.

How many total acres does the Batavia Park District maintain?

Batavia Park District currently owns and maintains 350 acres.

How long are the walking paths for Engstrom and Big Woods Park?

Engstrom Park is 174 feet short of a mile at 5106 feet. Big Woods Park 's outer loop is 4967 feet just 313 feet short of a mile.

Parks: Mowing Frequency

How often are the parks mowed during the summer?

All of the parks are scheduled to be mowed once every seven days. This schedule is very weather dependent.
