Enjoy day long celebrations at the Quarry
Batavia Park District is celebrating 40 years of service in 2009. Throughout the summer we'll be offering day-long celebrations at the Quarry to commemorate this special milestone. Bring the family for fun festivities, games, swimming and more!

June 11 - Batavia Park District's 40th Anniversary

Celebrate the Batavia Park District's 40th anniversary at the Quarry with sand sculpture demonstrations, sand building contests, special giveaways and a splashing bash party!

July 16 - Man on the Moon

The year 1969 brought many milestones both locally and nationally. Go back in time to the year the Batavia Park District was established and when the US put the first man on the moon by taking a dip in the Quarry then a jump in our moonwalk!

August 6 - Woodstock

Come out to experience groovy music that rocked the decade. Enjoy a performance by a live 60's tribute band, special giveaways and more!

Teen Quarry Camp Out (Grades 6 - 8)

Pitch yoru tent and get ready for an evening full of activities. There will be swimming, water games, beach volleyball, flash light scavenger hunts, and a campfire. Everything for s'mores, dinner, and breakfast will be provided. Just bring your own tent, swimsuit, and towel and get ready for some fun!

Camp at the Quarry (All Ages)

Bring the whole family down to the Hall Quarry Beach and camp out for the night. Pitch your tent and get ready for an evening of family fun! We will help you set up your tents, and then the festivities will begin. The night focuses on family togetherness whether you're diving off the towers or snuggled around the campfire. We will supply all the makings for campfire snacks, including a special take-home souvenir for each family. Juice and goodies for breakfast will be provided! Please register early, we are limited to a maximum of 10 families. Let's go camping!

Freaky Friday

This special game day may include wacky activities like: tug-o-war, sand castle contests, inner tube replays and more!

Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tournament (Ages 18+)

Get out the suntan oil and grease up for a great day of fun and competition in the sun! Teams shall consist of no more than 6 players, with 2 males and 2 females on the court at all times. Double elimination will remove you from competition. All players must be at least 18 years of age and must provide ID at check-in. Fee includes t-shirt, sport drink, and championship prize. Fee is per team. Games are scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

Float-n-Flick at the Hall Quarry Beach

"Surf's Up"
Was surfing actually invented by the penguins? A documentary crew takes you behind the scenes at the annual Penguin World Surfing Championship and talks to the newest star, Cody Maverick. Cody starts off as a cocky rookie but soon discovers that a true winner isn't always the one who comes in first. This animated feature is fun for all ages!

Admission fees: $2 for current Quarry pass holders/$5 for non-pass holders
Swimming is available from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., and then enjoy the movie that will begin at approximately 8:15 p.m.

 

 

National Night Out

Tuesday, August 4
Join the Batavia Police Department and the Batavia Park District on Tuesday, August 4 from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. and celebrate a "National Night Out Against Crime" at the Hall Quarry Beach.
Free admission to the Quarry, swimming and food.
