Community Input Determines Best Option for Braeburn Park Playground Design

Thanks to the neighbors who gathered on March 15 for a community input meeting at the Batavia Park District, a playground design was chosen as a favorite which will be installed this spring. The playground design is manufactured by Game Time. Interesting features of the equipment include but are not limited to:

• Play events designed especially for kids 2 - 12 years old
• New European type style equipment
• A transfer station to be used by kids that have mobility challenges
• A new swing set installed in the play area
• An "under-deck" features such as a store front and table and chair for " pretend play"
• A neat curved rock climber for the adventurous child

The total cost of the equipment is $28,457.00 including delivery. Installation will be a part of a larger renovation project that is anticipated to start in mid May of 2010.
